Men's Singles Finals
June 5, 2011
World No. 1 tennis player Rafael Nadal took home his 6th French Open title in seven years by defeating third-seeded Roger Federer 7-5, 7-6, 5-7, 6-1 at the Rolando Garros 2011 Men's Singles Finals on Sunday.
Handing over Nadal's fourth consecutive Coupe des Mousquetaires tropy during the awards ceremony was two-time champion Jim Courier. Nadal's victory has now tied him with Swedish player Bjorn Borg, who won six French Open titles from 1974 to 1981.
Nadal and Federer have already met four times in the French Open finals (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008), all of which won by the 25-year-old Spanish left-hander.
