Airing from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, the 2011 MTV Movie Awards handed out the Golden Popcorn and honored the best cinema achievements and movie moments for 2010 on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Saturday Night Live'd Jason Sudeikis hosted the awards ceremony infamously known for its silly categories such as Best Kiss and Best Scared-As-S**t Performance.

Reese Witherspoon received this year's MTV Generation Award. Stephen Friedman, MTV General Manager, called the "Legally Blonde" and "Water for Elephants" star "one of the most versatile and accomplished performers of her time."

Handing out the Golden Popcorn for this year's awards were Ashton Kutcher, Aziz Ansari, Blake Lively, Cameron Diaz, Charlie Day, Chelsea Handler, Danny McBride, Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Jason Bateman, Jason Segel, Jim Carrey, Josh Duhamel, Katie Cassidy, Kristen Stewart, Leighton Meester, Mila Kunis, Nicki Minaj, Patrick Dempsey, Robert Pattinson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Ryan Reynolds, Selena Gomez, Shia LaBeouf, Steve Carell and Taylor Lautner.

The Foo Fighters rocked Sunday's awards show with their new single "Walk" from their album "Wasting Light. Hip-hop stars Lupe Fiasco and Trey Songz, meanwhile, performed the tv debut of "Out Of My Head" and "The Show Goes On" from Fiasco's third studio album "Lasers".
