The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) launched its premiere on New Year's Day by airing a special episode, Oprah’s Guide to OWN, where the Queen of Talk outlined presented viewers with a sneak peek to her favorite shows premiering on OWN.
OWN is a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Harpo Productions, Inc. and will be available in more than 80 million homes. The network replaced the Discovery Health Channel on cable and satellite.
