Airing from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California for the second consecutive year and hosted by none other than... no one for the third time in history, the 28th Annual MTV Video Music Awards honored the best music videos over the last year. British pop star Jessie J served as VMA House Artist on Sunday night's event.

The 2004 and 2007 ceremonies, in Miami and Las Vegas respectively, were also hostless evenings.
