NBC's smash-hit American comedy television series The Office aired it's 19th episode of the 7th season on Thursday, March 24, 2011. In this episode entitled "Garage Sale", Michael decides to ask Holly to marry him. He seeks advice from Oscar, Ryan, Jim, and Pam on how to do the proposal well with his high-priced diamond ring. Meanwhile, the staff holds a public garage sale in the warehouse where Dwight challenges himself to obtain the most expensive item by trading, starting with a red thumbtack.
"Garage Sale", the show's 145th episode overall, is written by Jon Vitti and directed by series star Steve Carell. The ending of the show Thursday night got lots of viewers talking about Carell's replacement.

Steve Carell confirmed that the seventh season of the show will be his last when his contract expires. According to NBC, Will Ferrell will be joining the show upon Carell's exit but only slated to appear in four episodes. Ferrell will debut as the new Big Cheese in Scranton named Deangelo Vickers on the April 14th episode "Training Day".
