The tenth season of the American Idol series premiered Wednesday night, January 19th on FOX with new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have replacing Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul. Randy Jackson is the only judge from past seasons. Ryan Seacrest returns as host of the show.

The talent competition's two-night season premiere kicked off with auditions from New York and New Jersey on Wednesday. The New Orleans audition episode will be aired on Thursday, January 20th.
