Auburn University quarterback Cam Newton, deemed the most outstanding player in Division I-A college football, is the 2010 Heisman winner. The presentation ceremony was held live from the New York State Theatre on Saturday, December 11th.
Newton is the third player from Auburn to win the Heisman trophy, with Pat Sullivan in 1971 and Bo Jackson in 1985. The other finalists for this year's award are University of Oregon running back LaMichael James, Stanford University quarterback Andrew Luck and Boise State University quarterback Kellen Moore.
