Despite several struggles with his health, Bret Michaels, lead vocalist of the glam metal band Poison and NBC's reality show Celebrity Apprentice 3 winner, performed on stage at the American Idol Season 9 Grand Finale on Wednesday

In late April, the 47-year-old singer suffered a brain hemorrhage, but had a miraculous recovery. After being released from the hospital, however, he suffered a "warning stroke" that sent him back last week and faces surgery for hole in his heart.
